Bootcamp Overview
eMarketing Bootcamp’s comprehensive curriculum is designed to put each participant’s business on a solid internet marketing track to implement with understanding, confidence and success.
The program is comprised of four 45-minute workshops covering essential elements of successful online marketing.
This intensive and interactive workshop series is appropriate for beginner levels with little to no experience, as well as those who have some knowledge, but want to do more on their own.
How It Works
Participants meet weekly via webinar. Short for Web-based seminar, a webinar is a presentation, lecture, workshop or seminar that is transmitted over the Web. A key feature of a webinar is its interactive elements -- the ability to give, receive and discuss information.
eMarketing Bootcamp course material will be provided as an online slide show and made available via pdf at the completion of the session.
Course Curriculum
Session I: The goal-oriented website
Workshop leaders will review how to build a goal-oriented website, including content organization and architecture, navigation, and effective branding and design.
» Outcome: Students will gain the knowledge required to effectively “map out” a website design that draws in, engages and converts site visitors to leads.
Session II: Optimized content development
Workshop leaders and participants will look at content as the single most important driver in search engine optimization. We’ll look at how our website content supports our goals, as well as what we can do to ensure that prospects who are looking for what we sell can find us.
» Outcome: Participants will gain an understanding of on-page and off-page optimization, the importance of keywords and the development of fresh content on a regular basis. Tactics, such as blogging and PR will be covered.
Session III: Email campaign or newsletter
Workshop leaders and participants will talk about how to implement a direct email campaign; newsletters, special offers, etc.
» Outcome: Students will master how to build a distribution list, create a persuasive message and identify email service providers.
Session IV: Leveraging Social media
Workshop leaders and participants will define what “social media” is and how it can be leveraged as a marketing medium to drive traffic back to your website. We’ll explore popular social media sites, such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, and evaluate the relative merits of each.
» Outcome: Students will create a profile and a business page on at least one social networking site. Students will master how to update their status, including a link to their website where new information is hosted.
Session IV: Review, Q&A and Follow-up
Workshop leaders will answer questions on work done to-date, provide feedback on adjustments made during 5-week session and make suggestions for follow-up.
» Outcome: Students will finish the bootcamp with a "punch list" of items to follow-up on.
